Sustainability plays an increasingly important role in society and forms the basis for the style trends of 2021 in the green sector. In recent months, we have highlighted three trends using our own plants, planters and accessories. In this article we will summarize them again for you.

Balanced Biotope

This style trend translates into the use of sustainable materials and the reuse of items. Organic shapes, but also sturdy industrial products, are reflected in this comprehensive style trend. Flowers and plants are just as important as the rest of the interior. Plants are also effortlessly combined with each other in indoor borders. Plants have strikingly shaped leaves, such as the Monstera and the Alocasia.

Plants and grasses are grouped, borders have a whimsical shape and matching plants such as Phalaenopsis and mosses. It is especially important that the plants and the materials mutually reinforce each other. We also find in environmentally friendly, weathered, tough materials that can take a beating.

The Polystone coated collection is completely in line with this style trend. The planters are made of polystone, this material has the same external characteristics as natural stone, but is surprisingly lightweight. The planter has a special coating, making it completely waterproof, water-repellent and UV-resistant.

Nucast planters are made from recycled paper composite, a very practical alternative to traditional materials such as stone and metal. Nucast can mimic the most natural textures and has the advantage that it is many times lighter in weight. In addition, the planters are recyclable!

Human Touch

Warm colours, round and organic shapes and soft textures provide the real homely feeling. They give a familiar feeling of coming home and coziness. Green plants such as Ficus elastica tineke and Ficus elastica abidjan, Syngonium and Calathea play an important role. Planters with round shapes are central to the trend Human Touch. The round Baq Timeless Sphere collection is perfectly in place! Thanks to the sleek design, the planters are suitable for any type of interior. Moreover, the planters are available in all RAL colours, so you can perfectly combine them with other colours within the trend. This planter is sprayed in the new Baq colour Taupe and matches great with De Ficus elastica abidjan.

For the Ficus elastica Tineke we have a nice place in the Baq Polystone Seaside. This planter with authentic stone appearance is made of Polystone, a mixture of plastic and crushed limestone. This material is surprisingly lightweight.

Terracotta is also completely in line with this trend. The colour combines well with the bouquet of ornamental grass and artificial Orchids and Anthuriums. For the colour contrast we have used the Elho Vibes collection, which fits perfectly into the atmosphere of a cozy, harmonious, fashionable and friendly interior.

Recentered Stage

Playful combinations of different shapes, colours and clean lines are at the heart of the Recentered Stage trend. Arches, stairs and other geometric shapes are designed in powerful colour contrasts to give certain products in the interior a striking stage, in this case beautiful plants. Each product has its own stage.

The Colour Me and Timeless collections from Baq are ideal for implementing this colourful trend. The planters from these collections can be sprayed in all RAL colours. Thus, the perfect colour contrasts of choice can be created for the interior using different geometric shapes. The Colour Me Cylinder planter has been sprayed for this trend in a vibrant orange colour called the Salmon range.

The playful Chamaedorea elegans has been given a nice place in the smaller Colour Me Cylinder in Turquoise blue. The planter contrasts beautifully with the Unica - Jigsaw in a powerful purple called Blue Lilac.

Another appealing combination within the trend is the Timeless Largo Regular in a bright pink called Telemagenta, combined with the beautiful and contrasting Dracaena burley
