The Rhododendron 'Vulcan Flame' is a specific cultivated variant of the Rhododendron family, which originally occurs in Western and Eastern Asia, North America and Australia. It is a flowering plant which does not have an exact natural origin as this plant species has been genetically modified for specific characteristics.

Characteristics
The Rhododendron 'Vulcan Flame' is known to bloom in May and June with striking, bright red flowers. The flowers, with their vibrant colour, form a sharp contrast with the dark green, glossy leaves of the plant. The plant is characterised by its compact, bushy growth habit and can reach a height of about 1.5 meters at adult age.

Care
When it comes to the care of the Rhododendron 'Vulcan Flame', this plant needs a moist, well-drained, acidic soil for optimal growth. The plant tolerates full sun to partial shade and requires frequent watering, especially in dry periods.
