Origin
The Dracaena fragrans 'Green Jewel', also known as the Dragon Tree, finds its origin in the tropical areas of Africa. More specifically, it mainly grows in Sudan, Mozambique, the Ivory Coast, and Angola. The favourable climate and fertile soil in these areas allow the plant to grow and develop well.

Characteristics
The Dracaena fragrans 'Green Jewel' is a striking and unique houseplant because of its structured, graceful leaves and tall stems. The leaves are glossy green and slightly leathery, which contributes to the robust appearance of the plant. The trunk of the 'Green Jewel' is straight and thick, with its leaves clustering at the top, making it resemble a palm tree. The plant can reach considerable heights, varying from 1 to 2.5 meters.

Care
Despite the Dracaena fragrans 'Green Jewel' being a tropical plant, it requires relatively little care. It needs a light environment, but avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf damage. The plant has moderate water needs - about once a week in the summer and less frequently in winter. Excess water must be drained to prevent root rot. When caring for the plant, it's also important to consider the temperature, the ideal temperature for the plant lies between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius.
