DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Philodendron selloum, also referred to as the Lacy Tree Philodendron, is originally found in South America, particularly in the rainforests of Brazil and Paraguay. This plant thrives in the humid, warm conditions and rich soil of the tropical rainforest.

Characteristics
The Philodendron selloum is an evergreen plant with large, glossy, deeply lobed leaves that create an opulent atmosphere. The leaves can grow up to 90 centimetres wide. The plant grows in the shape of a tree, and can reach up to 3 metres high in favourable conditions. Notably, the leaves spring out in clusters from the thick trunk.

Care
This plant likes a bright, indirect light source and cannot tolerate direct sunlight. It also requires a large amount of water, without allowing the water to stagnate. Therefore, it is recommended to allow the plant to dry out between watering cycles to prevent root rot. The philodendron selloum does not do well in cold temperatures and thrives best at temperatures between 16 and 24 degrees Celsius.
