Origin
The Spathiphyllum 'Sweet Chico' originally comes from the tropical regions of South America and Southeast Asia. This species is now spread worldwide thanks to its growing popularity as a houseplant. The 'Sweet Chico', also known as Peace Lily, gets its name from the Greek 'spathos', which means 'spoon', and 'phyllon', which means 'leaf'.

Characteristics
The Spathiphyllum 'Sweet Chico' is characterised by its dark green, glossy leaves that provide a shelter for its unique white flowers. The plant has a compact growth, with a maximum height of around 50 centimetres. The flowers, oval and white, resemble spoons and appear throughout the year. They beautifully contrast with the dark green leaves, giving the plant a fresh appearance.

Care
The Spathiphyllum 'Sweet Chico' requires a specific care routine in order to flourish. It prefers a bright to semi-shade spot in the house, without direct sunlight. The 'Sweet Chico' needs regular watering and the soil must remain moist, but overwatering should be avoided to prevent root rot.
